Patient Feedback
My years of practice as a naturopathic physician have taught me the importance of incorporating patient feedback in their care. An integral part of being bold in upgrading your health is your ability to advocate for your needs. This means that in addition to reporting what health needs are improving, I welcome your input about ongoing challenges. While patients often express their appreciation for the individual attention I provide, their feedback creates an essential partnership.
I saw Dr. Gabi Regino Malina and she has completely changed my life for the better. She took the time to understand what was bothering me, did a full examination and prescribed a treatment plan that was not hard to stick by. I have never felt better, and I am so thankful for her expertise. She is by far the best naturopathic doctor for thyroid and overall health. I have recommended her to all of my family and friends.
I have known Dr. Malina for close to 10 years. She is one of the most intelligent women I have ever met. When no other health care provider wanted to admit that my weight gain could be from my birth control, she did. She listens! We discussed my history and decided it would be best to have it removed. With her advice, I was able to avoid any type of “crash” and lost the weight that I have struggled with for 5 years!
I cannot speak enough about Dr. Gabi Regino Malina! She literally changed my life. I can confidently and wholeheartedly say this. When no one else could conclude what was happening with my body, she did. I’m so grateful for her, her knowledge and the knowledge she has empowered me with! Thank you, Gabi!!

Naturopathic appointments
An initial naturopathic appointment is typically 60-90 minutes long. During that appointment, the naturopathic physician takes a detailed narrative history that includes a review of previous medical information (i.e., symptoms, diagnoses, treatment, test results) and provides a personalized treatment plan. Follow-up visits are typically 45-60 minutes long, during which the initial treatment plan is updated to reflect current symptoms and test results.
For new patients only. We will do a deep dive into your personal health story to discover the cause of illness or disease.
For established patients only. This visit may include acupuncture, laboratory review and a discussion of a variety of treatment options.
For establish patients only. This visit may include an assessment and treatment of acute conditions or laboratory review.
It integrates natural medicine with traditional medicine by treating the root causes of diseases and disorders. A functional and holistic patient centered approach is utilized instead of addressing only symptoms.

MY NATUROPATHIC EDUCATION
The first two years of naturopathic medical school consist of studying basic medical sciences (i.e. biochemistry, physiology, anatomy and dissection, microbiology, genetics, pharmacology and pathophysiology). These are studied in conjunction with modalities unique to naturopathic medicine (i.e., Chinese medicine, botanical medicine, physical medicine, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, nutritional and environmental medicine). The last two years consist of clinical rotations taken along with specialized lectures covering all the “ologies” (i.e. gastroenterology, dermatology, endocrinology, neurology). Here, naturopathic medical students also learn pharmacological and naturopathic treatments for several diseases and disorders. Naturopathic doctors maintain continuing medical education to keep abreast of the current medical standard of care.
In order to heal, we must not only address our physical needs, but also inner aspects of who we are. We must learn to recognize our stressors so we can create change and separate ourselves from the constant survival mode in which we find ourselves. Our health is dependent on more than just a medication. Finding the root causes takes perseverance. I am bold in my approach and my mission is to help you disentangle the unanswered questions about your health concerns.
